Chief Marketing Officer

Overview

We are looking for a Chief Marketing Officer that is highly experienced in the planning, development and execution of the organization’s marketing, advertising and sales initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CMO will be responsible for generating revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing, advertising and public relations. The CMO will work closely with operations and business development in order to further increase sales.

The marketing team works closely alongside our sales, business development and product development teams in order to align all revenue streams. The team is responsible for the marketing and advertising both online and offline.

Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to work with our internal teams on all aspects of our marketing including:


  • Directing the marketing efforts of the company

  • Plan, implement and manage marketing strategy

  • Liaising with other departments in order to define marketing strategies and to guide a unified approach to customer service, sales, etc.

  • Build brand awareness and ensure that all communications align with the brand

  • Acquire reliable and comprehensive data on sales and customer experience from different departments

  • Lead the annual and quarterly planning, establish the marketing budget and track return on investment

  • Build a marketing team and mentor them

  • Set KPIs and report to the board on progress

  • Spot opportunities in the market and drive the growth of the business

  • Understand user behaviours and the desired customer needs to inform key decisions and planning


Requirements

  • Proven experience as chief marketing officer or similar role

  • Demonstrable experience in developing effective strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects

  • Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods

  • Ability to apply marketing techniques through digital (e.g. social media) and non-digital (e.g. press) channels

  • A leader with both creative and analytical capabilities

  • Ability to leads and inspire a team

  • Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills

  • Passionate about advocacy

  • Deep understanding of changing market dynamics

  • BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, communications or relevant field; MSc/MA
